Washtenaw County Circuit Court Warrants

The 22nd Circuit Court is at 101 E. Huron Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Mailing address is PO Box 8645, Ann Arbor, MI 48107-8645. Phone is (734) 222-3270 for both the civil and criminal divisions. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Felony bench warrants come from this court. These include warrants for failure to appear at felony hearings, probation violations on felony cases, and contempt of court orders.

To search for circuit court cases online, use the MiCOURT Case Search system. Select Washtenaw as the county and Circuit Court as the court type. Enter a name, case number, or other identifying info. The system shows the case status and docket entries. Look for "bench warrant issued" or "failure to appear" in the register of actions. Washtenaw County circuit court bench warrants include the defendant's full name, date of birth, case number, presiding judge, felony charge classification, statutory citations, bond amount, and attorney information if known.

14A District Court Bench Warrants

The 14A District Court is the largest district court in Washtenaw County. It has four divisions. Division 1 is at 4133 Washtenaw Avenue, Ann Arbor, phone (734) 973-4545. Division 2 is at 415 W. This court pioneered online case resolution in Michigan. Since 2014, it has offered online ticket mediation, online plea submission, and online warrant review. You can submit a warrant inquiry and may be able to schedule a hearing instead of getting picked up.

Some cases are not available online through the 14A system. Drug charges under MCL 333.7411 for first-time offenders, cases disposed under HYTA (Holmes Youthful Trainee Act), neglect and abuse cases, sealed records, and juvenile cases stay off the public portal. For those, you need to contact the court directly.

This court issues bench warrants for misdemeanor cases, traffic violations, and civil infractions within city limits. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Washtenaw County Sheriff Warrant Search

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is at 2201 Hogback Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. The Records Division handles warrant inquiries at (734) 971-3911. General information is at (734) 971-8400. Jail info goes through (734) 971-3420. Email the office at sheriffinfo@washtenaw.org. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Warrant Division maintains all active warrants for Washtenaw County. They verify warrants by phone, execute warrants from all county courts, and keep the LEIN database updated. For in-person visits, bring a valid photo ID and give them the full name, date of birth, and address. The sheriff's office also runs a crime data dashboard with interactive data by zip code.

Washtenaw County Record Fees

Standard copies of court records cost $2 per page. Certified copies are $10 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. Transcript costs follow MCL 600.2543. FOIA requests for sheriff's office records go to the FOIA coordinator at 2201 Hogback Road. Processing takes 5 business days with a possible 10-day extension. Forms are available at each court clerk's office for court-specific record requests.
